Traffic Stop leads to trafficking arrest

On Sunday July 14th at approximately 8:34 PM, Trooper Aaron Harris, of Kentucky State Police Post 3 in Bowling Green, conducted a traffic stop near the 28 mile marker of Interstate 65 southbound. Trooper Harris came into contact with Barry Adams (35) of Louisville, KY. 

Through investigation, Trooper Harris discovered Adams was in possession of handgun, 50 Hydrocodone pills, 2 grams of suspected cocaine, and other drug paraphernalia items. A quantity of $3,313 in cash was also seized.  

Barry Adams was arrested and lodged in the Warren County Detention Center where he was charged with the following:

1.)  Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st degree, 2nd or more offense (less than 4 grams of cocaine)

2.)  Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st degree, 1stoffense (drug unspecified)

3.)  Possession of a Handgun by A Convicted Felon

4.)  Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Drugs or Alcohol, 1st offense

5.)  Drug Paraphernalia (possess)

6.)  Other miscellaneous traffic offenses

The case is being led by Trooper Harris. He was assisted by the Bowling Green Police Department and troopers with KSP Post 3. No further information is available for release at this time.
