Kimberly Linder of Elizabethtown only 18, in a fatal crash on 65

Horse Cave, KY  (March 3rd, 2019)- On Sunday, March 3rd at 11:35 AM, the Kentucky State Police Post 3, Bowling Green received a call of a two vehicle injury collision involving a passenger vehicle and a commercial vehicle.  The collision had occurred southbound near the 55 mile marker of Interstate 65 in Hart County.  Post 3 Troopers responded to the scene. 

The preliminary investigation indicated that Kimberly Linder (18) of Elizabethtown, KY  was operating a 2012 Toyota Camry while traveling southbound on Interstate 65.  Linder’s vehicle exited the right shoulder of the roadway, striking a guardrail.  Upon impact, the vehicle re-entered the roadway traveling into the path of Christopher Ross (22) of Brownstown, IN who was operating a 2016 International semi-truck owned by TPS Industrial Services, traveling southbound.  Linder’s vehicle was struck by Ross’ in the passenger side.  Both vehicles came to final rest on the right shoulder of the roadway.  Kimberly Linder was transported by Hart County EMS to the Medical Center at Caverna where she pronounced deceased by hospital staff.  Linder was restrained at the time of the collision.  Christopher Ross refused medical treatment/transport on scene and did not report any injury   

The investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by Trooper Daniel Priddy.  He was assisted on the scene by Post 3 troopers and CVE officers, Hart County EMS, Hart County Coroner, Hart County Sheriff’s Department and Horse Cave Fire Department.   No further information is available for release at this time.
