Animal Rescue Kare (ARK) and Community Action of Southern Kentucky (CASOKY) have joined forces to host a Spay-Neuter-Rabies event in the first-ever voucher program for the clients of CASOKY. The event was held in the Community Action offices in Munfordville on January 29, 2019. This event was sponsored by a $5000 award from Maddie’s Fund, of Pleasanton, CA (#Thanks to Maddie). The award will provide funding for 90 CASOKY clients. The ARK program is only possible because of close cooperation of Riverside Animal Clinic andHartland Animal Hospital, both of Hart County, and Barren River Animal Welfare Association (BRAWA) of Glasgow, These providers supply all veterinary services to support this worthwhile program.

ARK is most grateful to Maddie’s Fund for awarding ARK the grant, to Tonia Bruton and staff for providing great support services to plan and conduct this event, and to our veterinarian partners. Together, we are making a difference in reducing the number of unwanted stray animals in Hart County.

For anyone interested in learning more about this ARK – CASOKY program, please contact Community Action in Munfordville to fill out a survey form. ARK is continuously seeking members. To get more information about joining ARK, go to the ARK or call the ARK number and leave a message:  225-414-2765.
